Job title: HGV Assessor Trainer

*Trainee or qualified position*

Location: Midlands – Home/Field Based – Must be flexible with travel

Salary: up to £32,000 depending on experience (some flexibility for the right candidate) + benefits

Type: Full-time, permanent

Essential criteria:

Sound professional experience in the field of transport & logistics as a DGV/truck driver.
Must have experience in conducting internal training for employees.
Ideally be a qualified assessor with one of the following distinctions; D32/D33, A1, TAQA or CAVA – although not essential as full training is provided.
Ideally you have experience in delivering DGV or trucks at level 2.
Confident in teaching functional skills in English and Mathematics at Level 2.
Must have IT skills and be familiar with MS Teams online delivery.
Flexible to meet learners’ needs in terms of work patterns – may include evenings and early morning assessments.
Full clean UK driving license with access to own vehicle.
Tasks include:

Schedule and deliver face-to-face and remote online training courses and workshops for learners pursuing commercial vehicle/truck driving education (Level 2).
Provide and support learners with functional skills in math and English as needed.
Identify and assess learner needs, overcome any learning barriers, and tailor course content and teaching style to meet those needs.
Support and assess learners online with Microsoft Teams.
Organize and maintain documentation of learner progress.
Support, advise and motivate learners.
Break down learning barriers and tailor delivery to learner needs.

Personal skills:

Organizational skills are a must, as is the ability to plan your time effectively
Confident and professional with the ability to inspire and motivate people
Quality driven and willing to go the extra mile for your learners
