Last day to apply for Clerk, JE, Stenographer and other positions


The National Water Development Agency (NWDA) is closing the online application window today for direct hiring to various positions of Junior Engineer (Civil), Hindi Translator, Junior Accounts Officer, UDC and others. Interested and suitable candidates can apply for the vacancies on the official website

A total of 62 positions are to be filled with the recruitment offensive, of which 23 are for the post of Sub-department manager, 16 of the junior engineer (civil), 12 senior clerks, 5 of the stenographer grade II, 5 of the Junior Account Officer and 1 from Hindi translator.

Eligibility criteria

Age limit: Applicants for the positions of JE (civil), senior / sub-department clerk and stenographer grade II must have reached the age of 18 and must not be older than 27 years. The age limit for candidates applying for the Hindi Translator and Jr. Accounts Officer positions is 21 years to 30 years.

School qualification:

JE (civil): Applicants should have a degree in civil engineering or an equivalent degree from a recognized university or degree.

Hindi translator: Applicants should have a master’s degree from a recognized university in Hindi with English as a compulsory or elective subject or as a final-level examination medium. More details in the notification.

Junior Account Officer: Degree in Commerce with three years of experience in cash and accounts in a Government Office / PSU / Autonomous Body / Legal Entity.

Clerk of the upper level: Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree in any degree from an accredited university. Knowledge of computer operating systems, MS Word, Office, Excel, Power Point and the Internet are a must.

Stenograph grade II: Applicants should have passed grade 12 and taken the skill (shorthand) test (on the computer) at a speed of 80 wpm.

Clerk of the lower department: Applicants should have passed grade 12 and have a typing speed of 35 wpm. in English or 30 wpm in Hindi on the computer.

Selection process

Candidates applying for the positions of Junior Engineer, Hindi Translator, Junior Accounts Officer and UDC will be selected based on a competitive online computer-based test. Candidates applying for the positions of Stenographer Gr-II and LDC will be selected on the basis of the competitive computer-based online test and the skill test (shorthand / writing).

Registration fee

General category candidates must pay an application fee of Rs 840 and Rs 500 applies to SC, ST, Women, EWS and PWD candidates.

  3. Under the job posting 07/2021, click on ‘Apply online’
  4. Register and log in with the generated ID and password
  5. Fill out the form and pay the registration fee
  6. Make a printout for future reference
