The Western Carolina University Board of Trustees named Jamie Raynor its new Search Vice Chancellor during an extraordinary session today July 20th. Your appointment is effective immediately.
“Jamie’s greatest strength is her ability to connect with donors and build relationships,” said Chancellor Kelli Brown. “She is a collaborator and team player. It was an essential part of the success of the WCU with the “Lead the Way” campaign, which ended in April 2019. Your love and commitment to the WCU have been evident for six years. ”
Raynor first came to the university in 2015 as Director of Development. As WCU Vice Chancellor for Promotion, Raynor will serve on Chancellor Brown’s executive council and will assist in a number of issues the institution is facing. Raynor will also serve as senior development and alumni engagement officer and secretary for the WCU Foundation.
The Division of Advancement consists of three departments, including Advancement Services, Alumni Engagement and Development. Each department has a head who reports directly to the Vice Chancellor.
“The WCU is a special place for me,” said Raynor. “I had the privilege of being accepted into this Catamount family and to this day I am proud of this university.”
