Friday January 7th

Art exhibit – all January at the Fraser Valley Library in the Urban Community Room. See Suzanne Martino’s visual diary.



GCHA welcomes the artist Jessie Nelson – all January at the Cozens Ranch Museum. On display and for sale during the museum’s normal opening times, Thursday to Monday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

LEGO Club – 1:00 p.m. at the Granby Library for students in K-5.



Makerspace Madness – 1:00 p.m. at the Fraser Valley Library. This month, discover the building and construction kit available in the conference room.

Games evening – 6 p.m. in the Tame Wellness. Play card games, board games, or any other type of game.

Vision Board Class – 6:30 pm at the Granby Community Building. Granby Rec and Kelly Friesen offer a course on creating vision boards for future goals. The cost is $ 30 for a new board and $ 15 for a board update. Registration is required and can be done by calling 970-887-3961.

Celebrate Recovery – 6:45 pm at the Grand River Assembly Church. The fellowship begins at 6 p.m. before the weekly meeting. For more, 970-887-9784.

Saturday January 8th

Introduction to Backcountry Equipment and Conditions courses – 9-11: 30am and 12pm-2.30pm in the Granby Community Building. Join Grand Mountain Guides and Two Pines Supply for two different courses, starting with Introduction to Backcountry Equipment, followed by Introduction to Backcountry Conditions. Registration required.

Saturday Storytime – 10am at the Granby Library. Join Ms. Tess and Ms. Cindy for rhymes, songs, stories, and more.

Free Health Insurance Registration Assistance – 10:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Middle Park Health-Granby. Free help. Make a personal, masked appointment by calling 970-531-4769.

Free tutoring with Francesca – 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. in the Kremmling library. All age groups, all subjects, English as a second language. Reservation recommended, but walk-ins welcome too.

Astronomy Club – 7pm online due to COVID-19. This month’s presentation is “A Glimpse into the Future and the Past: The James Webb Space Telescope”. Open to the public. Contact [email protected] for zoom link.

Live music – 8 p.m. at Devil’s Craft. Grand County’s leading high octane party band, Puddle Stomp, will have you groove to The Dead, Phish, Funky Meters, Ween, Stevie Wonder, and more. With longtime local musicians Robbie Gonzales, Scotty Hicks and Andy Irvine.

Monday January 10th

Storytime – 10:30 am at the Hot Sulfur Springs Library. Take part in this fun, interactive literacy program for children under 5 with Ms. Carol.

Tuesday January 11th

Coffee and Snow Blowing Event – 9-11am at the Rocky Mountain Roastery in Granby (Chamber Building). Mountain Parks Electric pays $ 5 off customer orders and invites them to enter a raffle for a FREE electric snow thrower.

Coffee with advice – 10-11 a.m. in Winter Park Town Hall. Meet Winter Park’s elected officials for informal talks and light snacks and coffee at the first Coffee with Council of the year. RSVP to [email protected].

Storytime – 11:15 a.m. in the Kremmling Library. Join Ms. Emily for rhymes, stories, songs, movement, and more.

Free Legal Office Hour – 2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. A free legal hour for parties who do not have an attorney is held every second Tuesday of the month by Grand County’s libraries. As a COVID-19 workaround, these free legal advice will initially take place over the phone and the library staff will make all appointments. Call 970-627-8353 to be added to the registration form.

2022 Candidate Workshop – 6:00 p.m. at Fraser Town Hall. Interested in running for Fraser City Council? This informational workshop covers trustee duties, local government duties and more.

Wednesday January 12th

Open Enrollment Event – 11:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. at the Fraser Valley Library. The Grand County Rural Health Network will explain health insurance options and help you register. Drop-ins welcome.

Winter Park-Fraser Valley Rotary Meeting – 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Fisher’s Bar in Fraser. For more information, send an email to [email protected].

Simply Spanish – 5-6.30 p.m. in the Granby Community Building. Join teacher Kathy Naples for a “not quite” beginner course in Spanish. Registration is requested and can be done by calling Granby Rec at 970-887-3961.

Winterpark 101 – 5:30 pm-7:00pm at the Winterpark-Rathaus. Meet members of the Winter Park Council for a question and answer session, as well as a free tour of City Hall and other civic facilities, with stops in each department for a behind-the-scenes look at the local government.
